Substituting piracy for exchange of favors?

Following up on discussions I’ve had with some people after my previous post on piracy, I’ve decided to check with you, the users, some theories. I.e., I believe the currencies we’re working with will be different in the future – $$ and €€ will not be the only thing worth something to providers of content – and I’m trying to think of different kinds of return-favors that could be exchanged for content, to change the perception of what nowadays is called “piracy”. If you’ve ever downloaded something that hasn’t been totally legal, please answer the poll below anonymously!

Basically it’s about turning piracy into buccaneering, just as the English did with the real pirates of the Caribbean; making people fight FOR you instead of AGAINST you, and making it worth their while. Just got to figure out what that “worth” is!
